This is a review of Uptown based Scrap Mettle SOUL's newest annual musical review, "Talking Trash." Scrap Mettle SOUL is a 9-year-old group, which stands for Stories of Urban Life, the project features original musicals that which are based on months of gathering first-person stories. Thus far, Scrap Mettle SOUL has launched 15 projects, as far afield as Virginia and Mississippi. As its prospectus states, the core idea is that "each person's life is extraordinary. Every person's stories have value."
