2 teenagers face charges in Uptown man's death

Prosecutors on Saturday charged two Rogers Park men with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of another man early in the week in the Uptown neighborhood.

Torrence Butler, 18, and Nolan Jackson, 18, both of Rogers Park, were charged in the murder of Uptown resident, Gerrick Davies, also 18. Davies' mother found him with a gunshot wound to the neck in their home. Police stopped and questioned Butler and Jackson after they were seen fleeing in an alley behind the home after the shooting. The motive was apparently robbery. Money and marijuana were allegedly taken from the Davies home.
