The People's Music School receives $5000 from Kellogg

The People's Music School, 931 W. Eastwood Ave., received a $5000 contribution from the Kellogg Company as part of its continued commitment to the Hispanic community. The Kellogg Company's objective is to provide Hispanic students with the opportunity to enrich their lives through music education.

The contribution will be used for the People's Music School summer program called "From Sea to Shining Sea, What America Means to Me."

The People's Music School provides free quality music education for personal and professional growth, and cultivates an informed and appreciative audience. Its programs are open to all, especially those who have little opportunity for musical instruction. Students and their families share a vital commitment to support the operation of the School. Founded in 1976, The People's Music School has been providing free music lessons to economically disadvantaged youths of all nationalities for more than two decades.

For further information on the People's Music School, please call Mary Ellen McGarry at (773) 784-7032.
