The vacant Heilig-Meyers Co. furniture store, an art deco, terra cotta building at 4840 N. Broadway, will be converted to condominiums with retail space on the ground floor. A fourth floor will be added, and 22 condominiums are planned for the upper three floors. The second floor will have nine one to three bedroom units ranging from 710 to 1,600 square feet The building's third and fourth floors will contain 13 two-bedroom and three-bedroom duplexed units with 1,100 to 1,800 ssquare feet. Market-rate units will sell for $259,000 to $415,000. The ground level will house restaurants and a theater. Delivery is expected in fall, 2004.
